Potato Head Mania!

So funny! Aleeya wore these glasses around forever!
Carter showing off his master piece.
Kody and Kim gave the kids Potato Head sets last year for Christmas, Carter got out the bag and told me that I needed a break and that they were going to play with them and be good. I sure can't argue with that! They had such a good time and made some cute creations.

Get your pajamas on!

This is after I told the kids to get ready for bed. Carter thinks he is so funny, depending on the day, I think he is pretty funny also!

Star Raising Ceremony for Jeffrey McBride

We had the pleasure of attending the Star Raising Ceremony for Jeffrey after his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World. They gave us a tour of the cool building and had special places to write wishes for Jeffrey and a book to sign.

He was given a key and with assistance from his family put his wish inside this awesome waterfall room. They also raised a stain glass star up to the ceiling.

Cake was served and the best part for the kids was the ballon animals, machine guns, and other items of excitement.

Jenni had made a DVD of their trip and Amy Alvord sang the song she had written for Jeffrey. It was a wonderful night filled with good friends and an amazing spirit of love.
Mom's really do have eyes in the back of their heads.
Before the event Jenni stopped by and Aleeya was being funny with this cookie, not eating it, just holding it in her mouth.

Jenni's fabulous new look from the MAC ( I hope that is how you spell it) counter at Macy's.

It never gets old!

I love taking pictures of my kids pretending to be dogs or animals. I just love the creative play. Can I count that as Carter's dinner?

Future Artists of America

Serena created a lovely palate of stripes of every color. Carter made a heart with his face inside for his Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Susana. I am pretty sure he loves her! He makes her a picture several times a week.

Take my picture!

Serena just randomly went and stood by this table set at Target and said, "Take my picture." So I did.

Souvenirs from McBride's

The McBride's were able to go on a Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World. They brought back gifts for the kids. Carter (with the help of Jackson) covered both of his arms with tattoos. Serena wouldn't pose, but she loves coloring in her Tinkerbell coloring book. Aleeya has now added her "sunshine" to the stuffed things she sleeps with, she now needs; her cow, frog and sunshine.

Living Planet Aquarium and Mayan Restaurant

Penguin growth charts

Poor Aleeya, always being attacked, not by frogs, just her sister.

We had a fun time at the aquarium and saw the octopus and penguins get fed. As we were leaving we let the kids look at the gift shop. All of them handled the fact that we weren't buying anything well, except Carter. He had a fit, he was crying and sobbing and saying he would never be able to remember what a fun time he had if he didn't get a souvenir.
I let him have his drama for what seemed like forever, giving him warnings and trying to help him find ways to calm down. Finally, I lost my cool and told him we couldn't go to the restaurant afterwards because he was not calming down. That threat did nothing-he just kept at it.I took him away out of the shop to a bench and he just got louder. Then I really had lost my patience and I grabbed him and carried him outside. Luckily, we were with Shae and her family so she brought the girls outside a few minutes later. He cried all the way to the van, and was even screaming when he got into his seat. I put in the girls and put away the stroller and by that time I think it hit him that we were going.
He calmed down and apologized to his friend and me. But I had said we couldn't go to the restaurant and he started pleading that he wanted to go. I had read that if you have the child make the consequence they will usually make it worse than you would, so I said what will you do as your punishment instead of missing the restaurant? He has been working on a chart to earn money to buy a DS game and he said you can throw away my chart. To that point, he had earned $7.00, so I told him he would get no money and I would throw away the chart and he agreed. Good thing for me because I really wanted to go to the restaurant!

I made these! (the craft, but I guess the kids also)

I did a craft project! Carrie convinced me to sign-up for this class to make the wooden HOME letters and the "O's" that you put in for each holiday.
This was only possible because she was willing to help me make them.

The class was in Logan at The Book Table. Taylor was out of town so it was a bonus to be able to come to Logan for a few days. My mom watched the kids while I went to the class.

This the ledge that I decorate for each holiday, so the HOME letters will be a nice touch to add.

Tree House Museum Field Trip

Love visiting the Tree House Museum. We had four other families that we knew there also: Curtins, Baldwins, Tanners, and Williams. It makes it fun to have friends to see as we run from place to place.
Some day I will learn how to do links because it would be fun to compare past photos over the years, I always seem to take a picture on the fire truck.

Chuck E. Cheese Field Trip

Chuck E. Cheese is one of our favorite field trips. I use a coupon to buy tokens and they last us for about three visits. Since we have gone 4-5 times I am losing interest in pictures, so here you have it, the only one.

I did take a video of Carter dancing, but they take forever to upload, so just visualize :).
