Halloween

We got together with this fun group to go trick-or-treating.  Serena and Aleeya were always running at the front of the pack from house to house and had a great time.  Carter hung back with Steve Smith and tossed the football and talked Utes.  Steve gave him a pair of football gloves that an actual Ute player had worn.  Carter has them displayed on his wall.  

When Taylor got home we left this group and went around our neighborhood and then hung out at McBrides.  Carter went with Jackson and his group for another hour or so of candy collecting.  The weather was great so we were able to walk around with the stroller.

Halloween Feast!

 Super Jamie had the great idea for a group of us to make two Halloween items each and then swap them so we had an awesome dinner!  I made the witch finger bread sticks to go with our brain spaghetti and the blue and green jello cups with worms inside.

Ute Black Out Game

Carter is VERY serious about his Utes and the black out game is his favorite.  He picks out his and Taylor's clothing and always paints his face.

I loved the action shots and facial expressions!

This is the drawing he did to show me how to paint his face.  He informed me that I didn't need to do the tan part, that was his skin!  I also convinced him to go with another U instead of the dream catcher, I am no artist!

Pumpkin Patch

 It has become a yearly tradition to come to the Patch Pumpkin and Hay maze.  The maze is very easy for children and the corn and pumpkin patch are fun to run in.  Best of all it is free!

Serena & Spencer Cuddling

 Serena is not really asleep, she just got on the couch and picked up Spencer.  She knew we would think she was cute if she pretended to be asleep.  I think taking pictures fit with her plan perfectly.

North Logan Pumpkin Patch

 The North Logan Pumpkin Patch is an annual event that has been going on since I was a kid!  They have lots of wooden displays for picture taking.

 There is always a witch at the end and cookies.

 Examples of the awesome pumpkin displays.  Each year they have a theme and families and businesses make displays.

Gardner Village

 Our annual trip to Gardner Village to see the witches at Halloween.  I didn't realize we scheduled this for fall break so it was packed!  We lucked out and got a good parking spot.  Everyone did well, but we did have to pull over on the way home to feed Spencer.

Uncle Kody noticed that the kids job chart was sending an interesting message!  The Rx card is to remind them to take their vitamins.

Enchanted Forest at the Treehouse Museum

Each year the Treehouse Museum has a Halloween Enchanted Forest.  The children get to dress up and go through the museum and meet different characters and get prizes.  This year most of the characters were from the Wizard of Oz.  It is a cute non-scary way to celebrate.  Since I was carrying Spencer I didn't take any pictures inside, but this is what cosutmes the kids wore there.

Lagoon Walking Trail

 Our field trip this week was the Lagoon Walking Trail.  It goes behind Lagoon and you can see some of the animals that they have at Lagoon.  The weather was perfect and we had lots of friends join us!  Jamie and all the kids were singing to the Buffalo that they needed to take a bath.

Spencer One Week Old!

 Serena loves her new brother.   She thinks she is the mom and is constantly giving him love and attention.  Luckily, he is very mellow because sometimes her love gets a little overwhelming and she won't get out of his face.

 Taylor's work sent this flower bouquet as a congratulation gift.

Such a calm sweet child, holding him is like a bit of heaven.
