"Jamie" Preschool

This year the girls call our neighborhood preschool "Jamie" preschool.  I assume this is because they love Jamie and she was the first teacher AND  it is held at her mom's house.  Here the girls are playing during free time.

The lesson this week was about the alphabet and Elizabeth Maycock was the teacher and I was the co-teacher.  She made bread with the initial of their first names for snack.

Each child also received a packet of cards with each letter of the alphabet on it.  This has been great for us to keep in the car and review the letters when we are waiting for Carter to get out of school.

Serena's Preschool Program

Serena getting ready for her preschool program.  They sang all of the songs they have been learning this year.  I love watching Serena sing, she does a great job of staying focused on the teacher and doing the actions.  Many of the songs had props and she displayed them so well.
Serena with her teacher, Ms. Sonja.  I have been really impressed with how kind she is and she really is good at keeping Serena on task with positive direction.
Serena received a special ribbon at the end of the performance for doing a good job!

First Day of Neighborhood Preschool

First day of our neighborhood preschool.  We meet in the basement of Millie's Grandma's house (Jamie's Moms).  It is a fantastic set up and we had come previously and organized the toys and set up our school supplies.  Each mom will teach for four weeks and be a co-teacher for four weeks.
Jamie is the starting teacher and so the girls have started calling this Jamie preschool.  She is a born teacher and they love her.  The class consists of: Serena, Aleeya, Millie Smith, Madison Dain, Tyler Roe, Mariah and Mercedes Hansen, Katelyn Maycock, Hayden Parry and Gabe Wiseman.

Playschool Graduation

Playschool this year consisted of an hour of curriculum and an hour of play at rotating houses. At graduation we had the graduates tell us into the microphone what they enjoyed about school.

Beautiful Butterflies!

Amelia came to playschool all decked out, so after class during free time Serena joined the fun and they flew all over the house. I have a darling video of them running around in circles.

Preschool Graduation

Tyler Parkinson, Avery Dain, Rylee Jo Smith, Carter Dearden, Sophia Wiseman

We had a great preschool year. We met each week at Rylee's grandma's house. The preschool children had their own awesome room. The younger siblings played in a separate room with the mom's.

I AM AMAZING! Seriously, guys, I really AM! I am SO on top of things, EVERYONE wishes they were as awesome as me!
I organized a full years preschool program, and I ROCK!!!
And look how super HOT I am too:

This is a test to see if anyone really reads these. Jamie was transferring pictures to my blog and she composed the above comments, thought you might want to know, least you think I have gotten very full of myself.

First Day of Preschool 2009!

A group of five moms in the neighborhood are doing a preschool. We have an awesome place to meet, the home of Riley's grandma. The older youth have preschool while the younger ones play in another area. As moms, we are rotating teaching and the kids learn a letter each week and have homework books for practice. This picture shows the group of cute kids!

Carter posing for his first day of school!

Serena enjoying the toys. I taught the first month, so for the first three weeks I tried it with her in the big kids class, but then decided that she does better playing with the younger group.

These chairs are in the preschool room and Aleeya climbed right in!

Couldn't resist adding another one!
