Hogle Zoo

Hogle Zoo outside the elephant exhibit! We saw the new baby elephant.

Looking at the baby giraffe.

Two cute girls cuddled together in the stroller.

One eventful happening was as we watched the penguins jumping into the pool of water, Carter's hat decided to jump in also. He was pretty sad, but a couple of days later he said that he thought the penguins were having fun with his hat.

Fliers for Smiles for Suzi Benefit Concert!

A friend of ours in the ward had terminal cancer and what started as an idea to help raise money for her funeral costs turned into an amazing opportunity to see how one life can impact so many. The first planning meeting was 09/09/09 and things went crazy from there. The concert just got bigger and bigger! Performers were: David Osmond, Mercy River, Tminus5, Lex de Azevedo and his choir and Greg Pearson. A silent auction was also held and the items donated were amazing! The actual concert was 09/24/09. The picture below is of us passing out fliers as a group F.H.E. I love my sweatshirt and skirt outfit!

Julie McBride and her fan club!

Serena and Aleeya love playing with their bff, Julie McBride. Serena likes to pretend she is Julie and is always following her around when we are with the McBride family. Julie is a second mom to Aleeya and immediately takes her from me when she sees us. How lucky our girls are to have someone who loves them so much!

Not a State Fair Entry!

Well, these peaches won't win any awards at the State Fair, but I am still glad that I was able to get 20 bottles done. I could have done another batch, but decided to dice and freeze them instead.

First Day of Preschool 2009!

A group of five moms in the neighborhood are doing a preschool. We have an awesome place to meet, the home of Riley's grandma. The older youth have preschool while the younger ones play in another area. As moms, we are rotating teaching and the kids learn a letter each week and have homework books for practice. This picture shows the group of cute kids!

Carter posing for his first day of school!

Serena enjoying the toys. I taught the first month, so for the first three weeks I tried it with her in the big kids class, but then decided that she does better playing with the younger group.

These chairs are in the preschool room and Aleeya climbed right in!

Couldn't resist adding another one!
