NDPA 5K/Fun Run

Carter's school, NDPA, had a family 5K and 1-mile Run for a fundraiser.  Carter ran the whole mile by himself since Taylor was out of town and I was so pregnant I could barely move.
 Love the victory face!
Taylor was in California for work and when he leaves he always tells Carter that while he is gone that he is the man of the house.  Carter takes this seriously and is a huge help.  When we had this race scheduled he said that since he is the man of the house this race is like when Taylor ran his marathon.

First Day of Neighborhood Preschool

First day of our neighborhood preschool.  We meet in the basement of Millie's Grandma's house (Jamie's Moms).  It is a fantastic set up and we had come previously and organized the toys and set up our school supplies.  Each mom will teach for four weeks and be a co-teacher for four weeks.
Jamie is the starting teacher and so the girls have started calling this Jamie preschool.  She is a born teacher and they love her.  The class consists of: Serena, Aleeya, Millie Smith, Madison Dain, Tyler Roe, Mariah and Mercedes Hansen, Katelyn Maycock, Hayden Parry and Gabe Wiseman.

I sure wish Carter would pose for a picture or two!

Serena First Day of Flowerbox Preschool

Serena is the first one to go to an "official" preschool that we have to pay for and that mom is not one of the teachers.  It is a new experience to be dropping off a child so young for school.  Serena is so social that she isn't fazed a bit.
Aleeya will have a few weeks before the baby is born when she is the only child home for a few hours on M/W/F.
Aleeya had to walk Serena in with her backpack on also.  Posing with Ashlie Christensen.
Sitting at her desk ready to go!

Dean E. Olsen Family Reunion

Carter helping Uncle Kelly with the auction.  He assisted with the reading of the story of the Little Red Hen to promote this quilt made by Aunt Carolyn.

Aleeya does a make-over

Aleeya got into my purse and took out my lipstick and then went to the basement and gave herself a make-over.  She also got some of it on the rug, thankfully not on the carpet since it will not come out.
The only person happy about this is my Mary Kay representative, because she used all of  the lipstick.

Preschool Orientation

Serena is going to go to an "official" preschool three days a week and then I will still do the neighborhood preschool with her and Aleeya.  We thought Serena could use the extra learning to help her get caught up on her speech.  The school had an orientation to meet the teacher and Serena was very outgoing and social.  There are several girls that she knows in the class: Abigale Tanner, Ashlie Christensen and Ava Tesuscher.  We are going to carpool with Abigale and Ashlie.

The preschool also has a dance school, so Serena is standing by the trophies.  We are not going to add the dance class currently, as sending her to preschool already seems like such a big step (for the mom, not for Serena).
